EXCITING NEWS!

We are hosting an Artist reception for our current youth exhibit
This Saturday, November 13th from 2-4pm and you’re invited!

“WONDERS OF THE OAK WOODLANDS”

The show will run through November 29th, 2021

This exhibit is in partnership with the Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo, fundraising for the organization as well as supporting and encouraging our local young artists. These artists are in kindergarten through 12th-grade students residing in San Luis Obispo County –including those who are homeschooled or belong to a youth/art program. The goal of the WOW art show is to encourage and inspire youth to creatively showcase animal and plant diversity found within SLO County’s oak woodland habitats, while spotlighting the amazing talents of youth artists and providing a space for young people to express the importance of oak habitat conservation through visual art.

“I have added a rectangular frame on the front of pc., in this frame 1/8 ” wires are floating. Next, will be a Plexi or Acrylic box covering the new frame.  I wanted to share, more to come.
Hope all enjoy.” -Steve
Check out Steve Andrew’s “Sea of Green” selected for the Las Laguna Art Gallery Digital Art, Collage, Assemblage exhibition!
As an experiment, he changed up his Found/Known/Objects series. Instead of using objects, he used the Environment … in this case a field of green kale!
A true collaboration to express motion and emotion – with the Farmer (Victor), photographer (Alice), and digital software rookie (his daughter) – to create “Sea of Green.”
