After retiring from a long career with the Department of Defense, Eileen Shibley took her first art class. She knew her life was about to change as the three-hour class flew by in what seemed to be 20 minutes. Eileen’s book As I See It meshes social issues with whimsical images while using vivid descriptions to create an imaginative world.

“My art is my escape into the world of the possible. I see life in bright, bold colors, and my art reflects that vision and perspective” (Shibley 133).

We hope you can join Eileen on the 29th here at Art Central! Please send us an e-mail letting us know if you think you’ll be able to attend – artcentralslo@yahoo.com.
