Thank you so much for the success of our “YART SALE” garage sale fundraiser.

We raised over $10,000 for scholarships!

The scholarships go to graduating SLO County high school students that will continue their Art education in college!

(If you are a SLO County high school art teacher with exemplary students deserving of a scholarship, please reach out to Morro Bay Art Association. MBAA is our partner in this amazing venture, and they work with our local high school teachers to create the awards.)

We couldn’t have done it without all the generous donations, as well as the enthusiastic purchasing from all of you who came to buy!

THANK YOU!

Did you purchase the C&H MATCUTTER from our YART sale?

The artist who donated it found some attachments for it – and we have the extra parts here at Art Central for you – come and get ’em! (No charge, of course!)

If you missed out on the sale or have supplies you want to donate…
March 2024 will be our 7th annual fundraiser – stay tuned!

🐝CALLING ALL ARTISTS🦋

Our next exhibit is coming up! In honor of spring, the theme is “Flowers and Flutterbys” and we’d love to see your bluebells and butterflys!

Exhibit runs April 7th to May 1st

Drop off art on Wednesday, April 5th

Artist Reception is Saturday, April 8th from 2-4pm

don’t miss out – you only have ’til April 3rd to see “Needling”!

Provoked by the critical issues of the past few years, individuals in the Cutting Edge Fiber Arts Group responded by creating art to express their points of view and frustration. “Needling” seemed an appropriate title for these heartfelt works which address politics, war, equality, gun rights, COVID, environmental issues and democratic values.

The Cutting Edge Fiber Arts Group is comprised of fiber and textile artists from the California Central Coast. Members work with a variety of innovative techniques and materials to create art quilts and fiber art that transcend functional craft into the realm of fine art.

What a tremendous accomplishment! Makes me so happy my dear friend’s art materials add to art education as she was an educator and artist.
    Thank you.
