We’re proud to host the California Central Coast Pastel Society for our exhibit “Luminous Expressions”.
“Our primary objective is to bring soft pastel to the forefront as a fine art medium. Since we live and work in one of the most beautiful parts of California, it’s not hard to find inspiration here.
We share and enlighten others about pastel art through annual exhibitions, painting demonstrations and classes, field trips and online learning, as well as workshops with nationally known and local artists.”

This contemporary artwork has diverse content, styles, media & methods by members of Central Coast Craftmakers, Central Coast Photographic Society & Central Coast Sculptors.

Oil Workshop – Ken Christensen
Join Ken’s oil classes from June 27th to 30th!
Classes will be four consecutive afternoons, painting on-site in four different locations in the Morro Bay/ Los Osos area. Subjects will be selected for variety, with possible sites being the coast, mountains, boats, and houses. Each day he’ll paint a demonstration painting, explaining his technique and showing you, step by step, his process. Then each student will do their own painting and he will coach and guide each student with personal attention.

Art in the Park – Art Center Morro Bay
Every year Morro Bay Art Association holds Art in the Park Festivals on July 4 weekend as one of their annual fundraisers. The proceeds help fund children’s art classes, provide scholarships and other programs throughout the year.
