The Zanskar Girls School is adopted by the Deep Roots Himalayan Foundation 501(c)(3) non-profit. Portions of this Art Exhibit will benefit the school, teachers and individual scholarships for traditional education of girls including studies in their native heritage.  Traveling from the Drepung Gomang Monastery in Southern India, Geshe Lopsang Tseten helped initiate the Deep Roots Himalayan Foundation and is coming to Art Central and San Luis Obispo to increase awareness of the remote school that will be the legacy of one Tibetan Monk. He is here with us to bring us understanding of life, Buddhism and the culture of Tibetans. Geshe is a skilled teacher of Tibetan Buddhism and for over 40 years he has been and continues to be a student of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. He regularly travels the world to share and teach about individual expression of consciousness, devotion, compassion, and wisdom.
