Painting Seascapes with Strong Values
with Harwood “Woody” Benton
Fee: $40 per class
Watercolor painting is the process of staining heavy paper with water based pigment. With practice and patience, you can learn to capture the subtle shapes and light in the world around you. Watercolor, at its best, is about being in the moment and finding the essence of a subject rather than getting caught up in all of the minute details. In this class, we will start from a blank page and learn to bring to life a seascape scene from start to finish. Woody will demonstrate technique and show you how to create relationships with strong values, guiding each person as they try their hands at this wonderful medium.
This class is for adults. You do not have to have any prior experience. Woody has inspired adults for decades to add this form of moving meditation to their self-care regime. Paper supplied, students supply their own paint & brushes. To enroll, please contact by e-mail: cerulean777@icloud.com.

Sales Reps from Speedball, Strathmore, Black Ink Papers, Jacquard and Faber Castell will be coming in to show off some of our most popular products.
Peter, Dawn, John Mark and Kari will be here between 11 and 2pm to have fun with you and answer your questions about their products. No sign up necessary, come in and try new products while creating unique holiday cards.
Try your hand at Lino cutting, calligraphy, collage, alcohol inks and a wide variety of pens and pencils. Samples and product info will be offered to early participants.
Join us, visit each table, stay as long as you’d like! All ages welcome. Children under 11 with adult.

Holiday Garlands with Infinite Possibilities

This year, for my daughter, I am making her a garland with collage so I was thinking let’s make garlands. They can be personal or seasonal. Bring with you a piece of fancy paper, rubber cement or glue stick, and magazines to cut up. I have string, hole punch, large letters stamp set, and glitter. Let’s just have fun crafting!!
There will be snacks and punch. BYO wine.
