Welcome to this week’s

“Velvet Three” by Susan Kounanis
9×12, Oil on linen panel
“SuperNova” by Thomas Frey, Pastel 12×9
Painting by Denise Gimbel
“During Covid, I’ve been enjoying being outdoors and have been inspired by the natural beauty of our area. I’ve created a series of twelve 18×24” manzanita close-ups (acrylic on watercolor paper, mounted on cradled wood panels). I forgot to pack my paintbrushes for a plein air sortie, and ended up ogling and taking photos of manzanita branches that shone red and purple in the early morning mist. I pushed the colors and movement of the growth patterns, and added a simple bi-colored background to set off the reds, and to symbolize the earth and sky. Thanks for your consideration!”

“Hi I’m Judy Maynard and I work with Alcohol inks now. In the past I have owned three galleries and had a stained glass studio and taught workshops in many types of mediums. I tested very high with lead toxicity from glass work so I was forced to quit that business.  I won many awards and participated in many local art installations and fundraisers as well so I have art in my blood and can’t seem to get away from it, so here I am reinventing myself with a new medium.  I have worked with Alcohol Ink about two years and have gone down the Rabbit hole with them.  Love to be a part of more shows, virtual or otherwise. Thanks” – Judy
“Last March I took a ‘Paint your Pet’ workshop with Karyn Blaney at Art Central.
I painted Poppy, the first time I had painted an animal. It seems to have flipped a switch!” – Susan Robinson

Graphite drawings by Dean Herrington

“During Covid I took my daughter’s three illustrated journals of our one-year trip around the world and I decided to clean up the prose, add some photos and publish it.  The book is 390 pages and has 1000 illustrations and photographs. It is a safe journey for armchair travelers.  As of last month, the eBook is on Amazon and the hardcopy should be out in March. Thank you for considering it for your Virtual Gallery.” Fond Regards, – Holly Smirl
