I challenge you to create something new this upcoming week. Paint something that makes you happy! It’s important to stay positive during these times. Let’s help each other focus on what makes US happy – send in your creations to inspire others to do the same!
Let’s make a mark in history with our positive paintings during this crisis!
Welcome to this week’s
Virtual Gallery
Please read the following to be apart of our next virtual “exhibit”:
“Water color sketch box, 4 x 6 block of 140 lb, new Neptune size 4. Hadn’t painted any watercolor in about 4 years.” – Gary Parks
“These are some of the pieces I painted. Used Koi Watercolor set you ordered for me. The colors are bright and beautiful!” -Barbara Cohen
“You are absolutely wonderful at keeping artists informed, supplied and connected. Thank you. This is a pen and ink with watercolor. It is actually fun to be home and working with few distractions.” – Rosey Rosenthal
Playin’ Around and “Spring Valley Summertime.” -Thomas Frey
“Spooner’s Cove Thursday Painting Morning.” – Joan Suttle
drawing by Marhsall Hemming
“When my classes, labs and exhibits cancelled, I finished details of this fused glass sculpture, “Breaker Blues,” 25″Hx18″Wx6″D. It was eerily quiet and solitary when I added my signature on the blue curves, and installed the thick wavy glass in a Rick Gordon’s custom metal display.
I haven’t done final photographs for this work yet. But I liked how the reflecting light on glass kept me company those last hours before I closed the studio, not knowing when we’d fill the kilns next. I miss experiencing my students’ curiosity and discoveries.
Etty, we hope you and the Art Central gang are safe and healthy. It’s a scary time, but art IS essential. Thank you for your ‘Virtual Gallery Collection’. It’s comforting and inspiring. What a cool thing that you, Frame Works’ Ali Semon Jansen, and others made art gift bags for SLO County children!”
-Artful hugs & Thanks, Larry Le Brane
