Last Chance to View “Out of the Blue”

The GROUP is a collective group of talented women who share a passion for creative expression. They shared art, ideas, information, help, support, and lunch.  There were no rules, leaders, or fees. They had no name, but eventually the term “GROUP,” became the common identifier.

This exhibit ends August 1st so make sure to check it out while you can!

“The Good, the Bad, and the Lovely”

This exhibit runs from August 5th through October 3rd, 2022

Artist’s Reception will be held Saturday, August 6th from 2-4pm, come meet the local artists of our western-themed exhibit!

If you are participating in this show, please bring your work in with your entry form on Wednesday August 3rd, between 10am and 4pm.

Back to School Prep

While many have been enjoying the lazy days of summer, our staff has been hard at work putting together class kits for the Fall! If you’re taking a class at either CalPoly or Cuesta in architecture or art, chances are we’ll have all the supplies in a kit for you – and at a great price! Most Cuesta kits are ready to be picked up, and all will be ready by Aug 7th. Cuesta kits are available for purchase online!

Raymar Panels

Check out these new products from Raymar… we want your opinion! We aren’t stocking them yet, because we want to see if there is interest. Please stop in to see our samples, and tell us what you think. We’ll be happy to special order one (or more!) for you if you’d like!

There’s nothing like painting on real copper. The paint glides across this soft satin finish with ease. Your art takes on new depths as the luminous copper hues glimmer through your painting.

Painting on copper dates back to the 16th century. Oil paint creates a natural chemical bond with the surface. This 0.3mm real copper plate is mounted to a rigid aluminum composite [ACM] panel to ensure the longevity of your art.

Raymar is now offering watercolor panels where the paper is adhered to a 2mm archival ACM [aluminum composite material] panel that resists warping and humidity changes. The paper doesn’t need to be restretched, will not buckle while painting, and is easier to frame.

Upcoming Workshops and Classes

Please remember that we have a small parking lot. If you are attending one of our demonstrations or workshops, and it is not a physical hardship for you, please park on one of the nearby side streets. We appreciate your consideration.
