Though subject and style vary, this exhibition celebrates six accomplished local watercolorists and their devotion to this time-honored tradition. Come and experience the ethereal qualities of this immersive medium in our upcoming show… “Just Add Water”

Exhibit runs through November 28th, with artist reception on Saturday, October 29th from 2-4pm.

Make sure to check out the awesome new puzzles and buttons we just brought in! These 1000-piece puzzles are high-quality, beautifully colored reproductions of famous paintings, and make great gifts. And there are 20 different buttons of well known paintings – can you identify them all?!

Local Art News


Starting in November, Steve Andrews will be displaying some of his work at The Clark Center in Arroyo Grande! Andrews has been a longtime supporter of our virtual gallery and participated in our last gallery exhibit, “The Good, the Bad, and the Lovely”.

Steve’s work is dynamic and explorative – he uses found objects to create geometrically pleasing visuals. Make sure to stop by The Clark Center on Saturday, November 19th from 2pm-4pm to talk to Steve Andrews himself!

Plein Air Coastal Artists – Art Center Morro Bay

Join Art Center Morro Bay’s casual group of plein air painters on Wednesdays! This is a self-directed fun group of dynamic artists who enjoy painting and sketching outdoors. The group meets at pre-determined locations each week.

In Pursuit of the “Largemouth Bassoon off the Hook” with Larry Le Brane – Artist Talk – Art Center Morro Bay

Join Larry Le Brane on October 26th from 5pm to 6:30pm as he shares the creative journey and inspiration behind his most ambitious sculpture to date, currently making its debut in Art Center Morro Bay’s front window as part of the exhibit “Faces of the Central Coast”.
Bring your questions & curiosity when the Los Osos artist will share stories, photos, video & humor to describe how he originally began including musical instruments in his fused glass artwork, leading to his current large Bass/Bassoon sculpture. Masks are recommended, not required.

Trick-Or-Treat Kids Craft Corner – Art Center Morro Bay

Head down to Morro Bay on Saturday, October 29th for some trick-or-treat fun!

Art Center Morro Bay will be participating in this fun downtown event with a kids’ craft corner on their patio, organized by Shannon Larson with plenty of treats. Bring the family to this safe and fun filled event!

Winter Faire and Crafts – Call for Artists – Art Center Morro Bay

This special holiday event is open to all artists, providing an opportunity to exhibit paintings, photography, sculpture, and fine crafts.

This fine art exhibit is designed for customers who are holiday shopping and looking for special gift ideas!

Painting the Head in Oils with Warren Chang – Art Center Morro Bay

In this oil painting workshop, participants will get an inside look into Warren Chang’s art practice and learn how to paint a head to the final painting, using a limited palette.

Warren will give a slide presentation revealing his process of creating his unique narrative paintings. By the end of this 2-day workshop, each participant will have a final painting inspired by Warren’s unique approach to painting that gives a window into his practice.
