Welcome to this week’s Virtual Gallery

Acrylic Paintings by Denise Gimbel

“Rising Tide” by Denise Gimbel 36×36”

“I feel lucky to be able to see a number of barns as I live my life on the Central Coast, and began noticing what a warm and comforted feeling I got as I saw those familiar shapes. I am working on a series ‘Shape of Shelter’ that combines an abstracted profile of various barn architecture with quilt patterns, to convey a sense of home in the midst of real and existential threats.” -Denise Gimbel

“August 26, 2020 I purchased two 30 X 40 Gessobord  Boards from your store.  I wanted to share with you my first completed Acrylic painting on the Gessobord Board.”

Be sure to stop by our gallery to enjoy our current exhibit “Controlled Chaos” featuring Judy Maynard

This exhibit runs thru June 28thopen during store hours

About the artist:

Over the years, Judy has worked in many art mediums and has been recognized with awards. For her, nothing really compares to the creation of art. She starts by imagining a design and then allows the process to talk to her. Applying intense color and achieving maximum color saturation, while staying loose with her design. Alcohol ink art is the one medium that allows all of this for her. Today Judy works exclusively in Alcohol Inks from her home studio.

Children’s Classes with June Li:

“As a mother, I feel a special connection to children and supporting their creativity. It is so beautiful to share with them the world of possibilities of color, line, shape, and expression, watching their delight as they create something of their very own.
I know that during this time, kids and families are experiencing some of the most difficult times, with school being mostly online and parents juggling a lot more than ever before.
Painting and making art together can deeply help soothe the stress and anxiety of life, bringing balance, joy and wonder.“
Contact June to set up a private class for your family or your kids.
