Local Art News

“Physicality of Joy” – Exhibit – Cuesta College

In this solo exhibition featuring new egg oil tempera paintings, Joshua Aster presents works inspired by memories of place, domestic patterns, and challenging current events. Composed of interconnected or overlapping scenes, these works feature triangular grids that obscure specificity, while providing a jumping off point for transformation into a new kind of possibility.

Exhibit runs until December 16th, 2022

Sketchbook Freedom with Vicky Hoffman

Vicky Hoffman enjoys hosting a sketchbook workshop either at the tail end of the current year or at the start of the new year. It’s designed for all artists looking to jump-start the daily practice of sketching, or for novices looking to explore sketch booking for the first time. If you’re interested, let her know by sending an email at vicky@vickyhoffman.com

Date/Time: Saturday, December 31, 1:30 to 3:30pm

Cost: $50, includes the sketchbook and supplies.

– and remember –

Art is not what you see, but what you make others see!
