October 1-November 24, 2020 during store hours
This solo show and sale will feature over 20 works created from her solo trips, off the beaten track, to places showing the majesty and quiet beauty of our Central Coast scenery. Exhibit runs October 1-November 24, 2020, Mon-Sat 10am-4pm. A Portion of the proceeds from this show will benefit ‘Learning Among the Oaks’, a program of the San Luis Obispo Land Conservancy which works to save special places on California’s Central Coast.
Seitz’s latest landscapes are inspired by personal sketches, photos and plein air paintings developed while driving California out-of-the-way backroads. Seitz used these travels to revitalize her mind and body as well as to engage in her passion for painting. Her love for California land, agriculture and farm structures are iconic in her work. Passion, dedication and a reverence for land and agriculture motivate her paintings.
Following a 26-year teaching career and raising a family, Seitz pursued her passion to paint full-time in San Luis Obispo County. She works on location – “plein air” – and in her Grover Beach studio. “I’ll Take You There” is a testimonial to Seitz’s reverence for places in the remote areas of California that captivate her.
Rosanne Seitz currently lives in Grover Beach. Her award-winning art has been featured in numerous solo exhibits and is included in public and private worldwide collections. She is a frequent guest presenter at art groups and is a Signature member the Central Coast Watercolor Society. She is an active member of San Luis Outdoor Painters for the Environment, (SLOPE), which raises awareness and funds for California’s rural lands, flora and wildlife corridors. She was co-owner of Gallery at the Network, in downtown San Luis Obispo for 15 years.
Please visit our gallery in October or November to discover Rosanne Seitz’s artwork reflecting Central Coast’s quintessential beauty.
