So much to share –

New art, new supplies, and our “virtual garage sale!”  Please read all the way through!

Introducing Nancy Joy into our gallery –
Come by and check out her vibrant and dazzling watercolors!

Nancy Joy paints loose, juicy, semi abstract watercolors and collages using vivid clean color. She enjoys experimenting with papers, foils and texture materials. Specialties include watercolor on foil, and double watercolors. Inspirations are high mountain vistas, fields of flowers, seascapes and memories from her activities of younger years.
Joy studied painting at Rogue Community college, Grants Pass, OR. After moving to the Central Coast she studied drawing, design and painting at Allan Hancock College, Santa Maria, CA. She continues to study at workshops annually. Selected influences are Georgia O’Keefe, Steven Quiller, Gerald Brommer, Shirley Horacek and Bob Burridge. Burridge, she says, “is responsible for her ‘what if’ attitude with watercolor”.
Her recent exhibitions include Pushing Boundaries Exploring Abstraction, Morro Bay, 2017; Aquarius, Pacific Regional Watermedia Competition, 2014, 2016. 2018.
Joy felt honored to be Poster Artist, 10th Annual Brushes and Blues Festival, LaPurisima Mission, 2000. She became a signature member of Central Coast Watercolor Society in 2018 .
