Intuitive Painting with Acrylics:
with Rachel Corvese

Thursdays 1-4pm, beginning March 10th

$30/ class –  $100/ 4 class pack

This is an explorative workshop, meant to expose the ideas in your mind, and express them on canvas. Artists of any skill level are welcome to join. We will paint with chaos, find patterns in our mark-making, and explore our creativity as we slowly recognize images in our creations. You can leave your piece abstract, or fine-tune an image that emerges with layers of acrylic paint. If you end up with an underpainting that leads to a meaningful project, you may finish at home or bring your pieces back and work on the same piece over multiple sessions.
~Required supplies: canvas or gesso board and your favorite big and small brushes.
~I will supply primary colors and black/white. If you have a favorite color you’d like to paint with, please do! All other supplies can be purchased from Art Central.

A live, clothed model will grace us with poses lasting from 1-20 minutes over a 2 hour period. Bring your mark-making tools, sketchbooks and your friends!

Veteran figure drawer? Pick up some toned paper and white conte or charcoal from Art Central for those longer poses.

(No class on February 23rd because of our fundraiser event)

To enroll please contact Virginia Mack:

This is a watercolor class designed to let you jump in and try out this engaging medium through experimentation.

As we progress, we will experience and develop the basic techniques of watercolor painting and realize the characteristics of the medium.

This class is designed for beginners and for those with watercolor experience who wish to expand their knowledge of painting in watercolors.

First and second Wednesdays of every month, 10:30am- 12:30pm, at Art Central, 3rd Wednesdays around the county
To enroll, please contact

Virginia Mack:

This is a class for those who love imagining ways to further their visual expressions. We are mostly watercolor-based but branch out into other media. We discuss all elements but mostly color and its interactions, and we explore composition, intention, and process.

Attention Teachers!

Please start thinking about demos and workshops you’d like to teach at Art Central!

In the hope that Omicron will slow down and slink away, we’d like to begin organizing workshops and classes again. With everything still up in the air we don’t expect you to commit 100%, but let’s start talking! Let us know your thoughts.

We can always cancel classes if covid still remains a safety hazard, but we would like to start booking more classes for March and April!
