Say Hello to Our Newest Gallery Resident:
Cheryl Barton

“I draw inspiration from faces and landscapes, often using images from my world wanderings and life abroad in Greece, Zimbabwe, and many other places. My muses are bodies, nature, and ancient history. They evoke a sense of mystery and at times nostalgia, which I try to show in my work. Primarily I love to play with printmaking techniques, but I also life-draw regularly and paint a bit.
I’ve got degrees in fine art, art history, and museum studies, and worked for several high-profile museums. In the last several years, I’ve exhibited with the Central Coast Printmakers at SLOMA, Morro Bay Art Association, Studios on the Park, and our beloved Art Central! I taught and wrote on art history for many years, especially for the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.”

We now stock LEATHER PAINT!

One of our employees enjoys leather tooling and crafts and this is what she has to say about leather paint:

“Angelus makes the best leather paint on the market, I use it on all of my dog collars and custom belts I make and it stays on better than leather stain! Scratch proof, weatherproof, PLUS doesn’t crack or chip off – not only can you use it on your own leather crafts, but you can use them on your leather jackets, shoes, and more to create more personalized leather items! These images are some of my work using angelus leather paint.”

Here are some other items you can customize with leather paint!
