JO SWANBERG: ARTIST TRADING CARDS
Fee: $15+ materials.
Description: Artist Trading Cards were first invented by Zurich artist M. Vanci Stimemann who thought that artists spend too much time in their studios and didn’t meet and exchange ideas with other artists enough. Artist Trading cards are 2 1/2”x 3 ½ inches, the size of a standard playing or trading card. They must be traded, not sold. Any media that works is acceptable. Besides trading in person, there are sites on the internet that offer trading by mail. There will be an introduction to trading cards. Some materials will be provided such as; watercolor paper cut to the proper size, collage materials, stamps etc. Bring your favorite media and lots of ideas.
