Hi, all –
I know I’m not alone in looking forward to the stroke of midnight tonight, although since hubby and I are being responsible, we won’t be partying with friends… we’ll probably be asleep before 10pm. Talk about anti-climactic…
It has been a topsy-turvy ride – frightening, divisive and nerve-wracking. I think I worked harder than I ever have in my life, but the rewards were just as great. So many of you shared your stories, your fears, your souls – sometimes on the phone when we were selling curbside, sometimes with the images that you sent for our Virtual Gallery posts. I discovered strengths I didn’t know I had. We saw a lot of new customers, folks who prefer to shop in a smaller store, and we did our best to keep everything as safe as we could for everyone’s sake.
We saw the best in our community with people reaching out to help each other. The little cupboard food pantries, clothing exchanges, free services offered by those who were able.
I fervently hope that 2021 is a better year for all of us!
Please remember that we have our Little Treasures exhibit up thru the end of January – enjoy this beautiful art when you visit us.
We want to resume our Virtual Gallery – please send in images to share! (Remember -you can’t respond to this e-mail… Please send to ArtCentralSLO@yahoo.com.)
Wishing all of you a happy, healthy & creative New Year!
