Early stART products let little artists grow and develop as they play, while giving parents confidence that they are using appropriate products.

“We know just how important expressing themselves through color and drawing is. Engaging in art helps with early childhood development, including intelligence and fine motor skills. It provides kids with a learning experience that develops their creativity and personal expression. Plus they love it!”

Call for art instructors!

We are resuming our workshops and demos and are looking for artists to teach classes in our gallery – Email us at with the subject line – Art Instructor Inquiry Thank you!

Be sure to stop by our gallery to enjoy our current exhibit “Controlled Chaos” featuring Judy Maynard

Her art is so ethereal – You can stare at these images for hours…

This exhibit runs thru June 28th – open during store hours

About the artist:

Over the years, Judy has worked in many art mediums and has been recognized with awards. For her, nothing really compares to the creation of art. She starts by imagining a design and then allows the process to talk to her. Applying intense color and achieving maximum color saturation, while staying loose with her design. Alcohol ink art is the one medium that allows all of this for her. Today Judy works exclusively in Alcohol Inks from her home studio.

Mayr Studio: New Online Courses for Artistic Development

This has been something Jason and I have wanted to do for a really long time and to see if happening is really exciting.  On the school site you’ll find ongoing live classes as well as individual courses you can take at your own pace on your own time schedule.  For instance right now we have a Charcoal Sketching – The Fundamental Forms course that’s been wonderful for all levels of sketchers.

Our next session of Online Painting Classes “Exploring Color” is starting on Monday, June 7th and you won’t want to miss this one! During this new course you will be starting with the fundamentals of mixing oil paint. Then you’ll explore color scheme & color runs from a portrait reference, later from a still life and then moonscape reference. There will be Artist exercises of color mixing & charcoal sketching, you will explore Master’s color runs and also have 3 demonstrations.  If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out Jason and Cindy Mayr.
