Dear friends –
We want to keep at top of mind the health and well being of our customers, class attendees and employees, as we look at possible actions to take based on the information available about COVID-19. The California Dept. of Public Health has recommended that the public adopt “social distancing” measures.
At this time we are cancelling one event – the Kreative Kids event – on March 21st. Other classes will be held or cancelled at the discretion of each teacher. We would like to ask everyone that if you are sick, or believe you may have come into contact with someone who has contracted Coronavirus, to please stay home and not put others at risk.
Currently, California Gov. Gavin Newsom urges an end to gatherings of more than 250 people to counter the spread of new coronavirus.
Newsom said California public health officials late Wednesday issued an updated policy saying “non-essential” gatherings such as sporting events, concerts and conferences should be postponed or canceled until at least the end of March.
Smaller events can proceed only if organizers can keep people at least six feet apart to avoid transmission of the virus. The policy does not apply to school classes. Gatherings that include those at higher risk for severe illness should be limited to no more than 10 people no closer than six feet apart.
We don’t want to over-react to this stressful situation, and we are maintaining normal business hours – please stop by and get what you need to work on your art, and cozy up in your studio with your favorite paintbrushes and paint.
Thank you – please stay healthy!
Etty and crew
