Are you a
“lone wolf”
out door painter?
Do you have
a “pack”
you paint with?
Art Central wants to know!
We are always interested becoming more involved in and learning more about our local art community here on the Central Coast. Please send us info about local painting groups, so that we can share with others – especially those new to the community who are looking to get involved! Plus… Would you would like to share your plein air painting experience and practices?
We want to hear about it!
Very cool, Sue
It sounds like a minimalist approach that really does keep the whole experience relaxing and clutter free.

You are spot-on. A bonus is the occassional chat with a passer-by.
I’m NEW TO PLEIN AIR AND WOULD LIKE TO JOIN A GROUP. I PREFER OILS, BUT HAVE DONE SOME WATERCOLOR.
I paint alone unless a friend from Santa Barbara is visiting. I prefer it as a sort of meditation; at the beach or any spot with a view of the dunes or farmland or anything else that catchs my eye. I have a small bag with 3 brushes, small WC tablets, small bottle of water and plastic dish plus a modest WC set.
