“Here are two new pieces, for your consideration, using a technique called under pressure. during the fusing process the glass is subjected to weight which results in a water color like effect of the glass being “smeared” for want of a better word and rather random shapes which I enjoy!  it has taken awhile to “master” this approach having to find just the right amount of weight to avoid breakage; I think I’m getting hooked!”
thanks,
– richard mortensen

I started doing stained glass work in 1972 in SLO.  I was trained
by Paul Laurie and have designed and made many pieces.  I also
Repaired stained glass in a church in Santa Maria and the Cathedral
In Galway, Ireland.  In addition I created a window for a church in
Coalingo, California.  The dimensions of this window are 6 ft wide
And 12ft tall, design consists of white doves flying up to the “light”
Represented by yellow glass at the very top of the panel. The field of

I dedicated this window to my late wife, Judy Cain.” – James Cain
