Thank you to all who came to the artist reception of “becoming River” last week! It was a wonderful success and if you did not get a chance to stop by, the show will be up through July 31st.
I am in awe of the love, kindness and support with which this show was received. As an artist I create work for myself, not necessarily to show or to provide a message. My artistic process is my happiness and therapy, reflection and meditation, and I have come to value it more than the product. In a professional art world where there sometimes seems to be a pressure to produce for the viewers, I am amazed by the beautiful responses to this collection of rather personal pieces.
I would like to thank everyone who came to the opening reception last night, your presence provided so much support and I am so happy to have been able to share my work with you. I give all my gratitude to the people who helped me put this show together — my parents: who have always stood by me and supported my passions, all my beautiful friends: who inspire me everyday with their love, and Etty: who gave me the opportunity and space to showcase my art.
